Wood Signs Wood Signs are classic and have been around forever. Until recent years they have been completely hand painted and were used everywhere. Their popularity has decreased due to higher wood prices and other more suitable weather resistant materials which have become available through the years. We still make many wood signs as they can best show the "rustic" look many businesses desire. We mainly use a product called MDO which is similar to plywood but much higher quality with smooth surfaces for applying vinyl lettering and digital prints. MDO is typically primed and painted white to seal it against the weather, but it can be painted any color you want. Wood signs can also "Hand Carved", but that is very expensive. For "carved" signs we use a product called Sign Foam which is a high density urethane (HDU) product. We put this on our automated router table which makes precision cuts. The routed sign is then hand painted and you have a beautiful sign which is very durable. These make nice monument signs in front of apartments, business parks or other types of business locations. That way we can insure we are making just what you want. After we verify the details for sign with you, we will begin construction and then ship it to you.
